Amounts range from $2,500 one-year awards to $20,000 multi-year awards. APIA Scholars has a special focus on supporting AANHPI students who live at or below the poverty line; are in the first generation of their family to attend college; and, are representative of the APIA community’s (geographic and ethnic) diversity. Strong applicants have an emphasis on community service and leadership. Must be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the US, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or Palau; be enrolling/continuing as a degree-seeking undergraduate in a US accredited college or university; have a 2.7+ GPA; and apply for federal financial aid for the academic year using the FAFSA.
The deadline to apply typically occurs in January.
