The fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities, social sciences, and allied natural sciences for US doctoral candidates, candidates who are ABD, and scholars who have already earned their PhD. Applicants must be US citizens. Funding is not available for research conducted in the US. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or as teams.
